"Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
2 Peter 3: 3-4
There's an event known as The Rapture, soon to take place regardless of what scoffers may say.
You can ignore the rapture at your own peril or study yourself to see if these things are so.
Denying the clear Biblical doctrines of the Lord returning for His church in the form of a Rapture is actually a SIGN of the Rapture.
Yet over 80% of the so-called "Christian Church" throughout the world is "A-millennial" in their theology-- which is a basic denial of the Rapture.
*Notice this verse above is NOT talking about non-Christians. But because it mentions "fathers" and God's "creation," it's referring to Christians living in the last days.
In 1 Thessalonians 4:17, the Church is said to be "caught up" to meet Christ in the air, at the last trump. The Greek wor for "caught up" is "harpazo" meaning to remove, seize, or take away.
The words "Caught Up" found in the English bible mean the following:
It's true, the English word "rapture" is not in the Bible, but neither is the word:
But of course there is a Trinity, there is Missionary work, and there is a Bible.
Oh, AND THERE IS A RAPTURE--coming soon to your world.
So, the English word "Caught up", and the Latin word "Rapture", as well as the Greek word "Harpazo" --these 3 words mean the same thing. And all three 3 are very good descriptions of the soon coming removal of the Church from the earth--by Jesus himself.
1 Thes 4:17.
So of course the early Church Fathers did not use the word "Rapture" in their writings. Rapture is a Latin word that came along later.
The common word used in the early writings was "resurrection" of the dead and "translation" of the living saints.
"Translation" is a word they took from Heb 11:5, where Enoch, the seventh from Adam, was "translated" that he should not see death.
There are "types & shadows" used all through scripture.
Enoch is an Old Testament type of the New Testament rapture of the Church.
Lot is an Old Testament type of the New Testament rapture of the church when he was "snatched away" from Sodom, just before it's destruction by the Lord.
Noah's Ark is by far, the major "type" of the Rapture of the Church. (Hence the name of this website)
The Lord gave us these "types and shadows" for a reason. The reason being: so that we could understand what is soon to take place.
Think on these things before rejecting the teaching of bible doctrine known as the Rapture.
There is a clear and present danger that lies directly ahead for those who reject this doctrine.
JESUS IS COMING SOON.
HE IS EITHER COMING AS YOUR REDEEMER OR AS YOUR JUDGE.
